You have heard about freezing fat to reduce its thickness before. Now comes an American technology that has been approved for use in Canada for now that treats the horizontal wrinkles of the forehead. It is being touted as an alternative to Botox. It works by freezing the outer apart of the nerves that make the forehead muscle move. In time the nerves begin to grow and function again. It appears to last for about 3-6 months. I do not have any information on the cost so far. I will say that it has the same precautions though as Botox for the horizontal wrinkles, and that is if the muscle cannot lift, then the eyebrows can droop. making you look tired. Just like Botox, if that happens, there is nothing you can do but wait it out. Not sure when or if it will be approved for use in the US soon.
