In my personal opinion, I think the advantages of canulas are overstated. You cannot just poke the canula through the skin so a needle does have to be used to open a hole for the canula. If a needle is used and the filler is injected as the needle is advanced the bleeding or bruising is minimal versus if it is injected upon withdrawal. Lastly the canula will not have the finesse of the needle and leave a less natural more tube like appearance. In order to get the contours needles can do you need to reposition the canula numerous times and you therefore need numerous holes that can cause bleeding to position the canula, so the advantage goes away.
Should dr use canuals for fillers?
